Sydney Sweeney is addressing the rumors of her alleged romance with her Anyone But You costar Glen Powell.

The Euphoria actress, 28, gave fans an inside look at her "beautiful" friendship with Powell, 37, and commented on the speculation surrounding their rumored relationship in a new interview with Variety published Monday (October 27), per Page Six.

"Glen and I genuinely care for each other and have a love and respect for one another," she said. "I love being with him. And I think people just truly saw a really beautiful pairing."

The Christy star also addressed whether she and Powell played into the romance rumors while promoting Anyone But You, with Sweeney admitting that they didn't really have to because the media was already pushing the narrative.

"Honestly, the press did it themselves. There was no leaning in, per se," she said. "Even if we were just standing next to each other, it was, 'They're standing two inches apart!'"

The pair's on-set chemistry and off-set closeness sparked romance rumors while promoting their 2023 romcom despite both being in relationships with other people at the time. Powell was dating Gigi Paris while Sweeney was engaged to Jonathan Davino; both relationships have since ended.

In June, Paris spoke out on the end of her relationship with the Twisters star, explaining how she had to "walk away" because she didn't want to "pretend like I was going along with everything" and calling the rumors "all a PR scheme at the expense of our relationship." Powell later reacted to her comments in an interview with GQ, saying, "Everybody's always going to have their own narrative on things and all that. And she's welcome to it."
