This weekend was definitely Epic and action packed. We had so much fun seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Friday night Girlfriend Brooks and I went to Lafayette for another Seeing Eye Puppy meeting. There are so many moving parts to training these future Seeing Eye Puppies. It's very rewarding knowing that we might in the future be helping someone who would potentially get their life saved by one of these puppies. Training is slightly different from typical puppy training, but it's tons of fun. They had enough people where none of the puppies needed our help training and walking them. When the leaders Deb and Dawn apologized to us for not having puppies to walk, I replied with "it's okay, there's nothing wrong with having a night off!" It was fun getting to have a Friday night seeing cute puppies all over the place. Saturday morning it was time to work!
Saturday morning I swung by our radio station, encouraged our hard working Promotion Street Teamers, and then ventured my way over to Industry Kitchen & Bar in Sparta. I believe this is our third annual Christmas Kick Off Celebration party on their massive, 7,000 square feet outdoor patio. We always have fun with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and Father John's Animal House bringing fun, adoptable pets. At 1pm we flipped 102.3 WSUS to ALL Christmas. We are nonstop Christmas music now all the way through Christmas Day! It was fun bringing joy to the many who look forward to this every single year. We had a wonderful in person performance with students from Sussex County Community College, Pope John, and Rev. Brown Schools. These kids were tremendous, and I really hope we can have them back with us on the radio soon. Our Kids Christmas Concert Series will be here in just a few weeks!
Santa and Mrs. Claus were tremendous as they are every single year. Can you believe that they even bring their own throne? It's such a great feeling after our Christmas Kick Off Celebration Party, when Santa and Mrs. Claus both smile at me and say goodbye, they'll see me next year. So many people worked very hard together in gearing towards making this party a massive success. Father John's Animal House was there with several cute, adoptable pets who really stole the show. Talk about the joy of seeing cuteness all over the place!

By Saturday night, I was beat. I was in bed by 5pm for a nap. The many moving parts of doing these Christmas Kick Off Celebration Parties honestly takes a ton out of me. Once the event is over, then I feel like taking a huge deep breath sigh of relief. At the end of Saturday, the silver lining is that there are so many people happy with our Christmas kick off party. I know not everyone is ready for Christmas yet, but everyone knows where to go when they are ready! Retail stores put up their Christmas sections long before we flipped our radio station, that's for sure. Now you're seeing wall to wall Christmas commercials on television too, right?
With businesses, the answer more or less often is if it didn't work, we certainly wouldn't do it! Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!
Sunday morning I woke up early and motivated. Girlfriend Brooks announced that she wanted me to clean off my bedroom bureau and my coat closet. This was not a small undertaking, but very much worth it. I spent approximately 3-4 hours on this in addition to routine cleaning. Brooks really is basically Monica from my beloved show Friends. She loves to clean, organize and reorganize. She was even cheering as I brought out my vacuum cleaner. Seriously!
The coat closet definitely was overdue for cleaning, organizing, and revamping. Now we can fit both my golf club bag and vacuum in the coat closet! Big doings over at my place on Campus, that's for sure! My only as, was that I could punch out at 1pm in time to watch my New England Patriots play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Patriots won and I was psyched! We then cooked a pepperoni Cape Cod Cafe pizza and it came out fantastic.
