Meet Evander! I'm sure by his picture, you can tell that he had a rough start to his life. Evander and his brother Phoenix came to us through one of our local animal control. The two dogs were in a house where they were not being taken care of properly and luckily, we were able to assist in getting them the help they needed. Evander has a lot of fur loss due to flea dermatitis. Now that he has gotten some medication and medicated baths, his fur is slowly starting to grow in! He is also a bit underweight, so we are working on getting him to gain some weight. Thank goodness he is a good eater! Evaner also has some eye issues, mainly he has chronic dry eye and will need drops in his eye for life. Good news is Evander does not mind a little extra attention. Even though Evander has had a tough start to life, he is such a happy go lucky boy! He loves meeting people and does a full body wiggle when meeting new people. We have noticed that he does seem to like most dogs, but some male dogs he can be a little picky with. But Evander did live with other dogs and cats.
