There was a little bit of travel with this Epic Weekend In Pictures, and it was so well worth it. This weekend brought us many memories that we will never forget. My Epic Weekend started Friday night that was opening night at the New Jersey State Fair Sussex County Farm & Horse Show. The weather was absolutely tremendous! There were smiling family faces as far as the eye could see. Everything back at The Fair with so many delicious food options. I am always candid, my favorite part of The New Jersey State Fair Sussex County Farm & Horse Show is the food! They have new food options to The Fair too! I saw a Grilled Cheese food truck, which even though cheese isn't my speed, there will be many enjoying that all this week! Then The Cousins Maine Lobster Truck! That hasn't ever been here at The Fair and I can't wait to enjoy that this week!
I didn't want to spoil any surprises on the radio so we needed to keep this one close to the vest. I was able to help surprise one of my ultimate besties, Nate for his 40th birthday party up in Danbury, Connecticut. WOW. Tough to believe we've been besties for almost 25 years! He was so excited and did a double take when he saw that me and my friend Brooks made the trek up to help surprise him. Success! He was totally surprised and excited. We all met up at The Blazer Pub in North Salem, New York. This place is very special as it's where Nate worked his first job as a teenager growing up way back when. This place is fantastic. My friend Brooks got a cheeseburger, and I got buffalo wings. These are the best wings I have had in years! They were tremendous. The Blazer does pub food, and they do it very well! We had a great time with everyone. I haven't seen besties Jake + Bri, Dan + Tori, Nate + Lauren, Jackie, and others in years. You wouldn't think ten minutes passed by since we have seen each other. We've been such great friends for so long, we have almost 25 years worth of funny, silly stories together. We spent all night laughing both at our funny stories and each other together. Talk about a wonderful, therapeutic night for the soul! It was simply amazing getting to see everyone!
Bestie Lauren did a phenomenal job planning this wonderful surprise. The Blazer pub was fantastic, then the phase two of her plan was renting out a movie theater. I was a little worried before when hearing about it. I haven't seen these friends in a couple of years, I don't want to watch a movie with them! I want to hang out and catch up with them. Well, this plan worked out perfectly. Lauren rented the movie theater for us so we could play Nintendo games on the big projection screen! Everyone was having a blast playing Mario Kart. We all had a wonderful time. We then did a nightcap in Danbury at Rosy Tomorrow's, which is always a fun time.

Saturday morning we enjoyed fun at my heaven on earth happy place Crystal Springs Vista 180 Pool. We enjoyed a couple of hours there before making the trek up to Danbury. The weather was terrific!
Sunday afternoon we made our way back to Crystal Springs after our trek home from Danbury. The Vista 180 Pool was packed with the gorgeous weather. I then took my friend Brooks to The Biosphere for her first time ever and she loved it. We then capped it off with a delicious Seafood Tower that we haven't done in 6 months or so and it was delicious. One of those rare meals where you walk away happy, full, not too full, and refreshed. Lobster cannot go wrong with that!
Overall we had a wonderful weekend. I'm getting ready to return to the New Jersey State Fair Sussex County Farm & Horse Show. Maybe I'll see you there! I'm there everyday this week except for Thursday, so I can still do my Adopt A Pet Of The Week here at the radio station.
