My Epic Weekend In Pictures: I Loved A Movie!

This was a fun summer weekend that went by so fast. We definitely made the most of it!

Thursday night was the Minerals Sports Club Monthly Member Mixer Social. It was great seeing so many friends, some of them it was my first time seeing them this year! The weather was cooperative and everywhere was packed with smiling faces. It was one of those classic fun summer nights where I figured to be out for an hour, and it ended up being over two. Lots of fun with friends enjoying a beautiful summer Thursday night.

Friday night, my bestie JG was in town. I had a wonderful time catching up with him for my first time in months. No matter how much time has passed, we always pick up exactly where we left off every single time. Bestie Jasen came out with his new shoes to show off, and we had a great time. To make the night even better, I ran into my friend Dr. Karen Bullock from Wantage Veterinary Hospital and her friend Nan. It was wonderful to enjoy time with Karen when we weren't actually working pulling off my Pet Of The Week. My besties Carrie, Christine and Chris also joined us for fun at the Minerals Moonshine Tiki Bar. We had a great time enjoying a gorgeous sunset poolside. Life is so much better when you can be poolside!

Saturday I had an amazing time at the Crystal Springs Vista 180 Pool, my Heaven on Earth happy place. It was great to spend fun times with my friend Brooks, Shawn and Ruby. We were talking about how excited we were to watch Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore 2 on Netflix later Saturday night. We ate their footlong hot dogs and loved them. I don't care what anyone says, I like ketchup on my hot dog and don't feel guilty at all!

We left the pool at 3 after a fun few hours. I put on a ton of sunblock and it seemed to work. I didn't realize my new sunscreen was SPF50, I usually go for the 30 range but all good. As long as I get color without burning I'm happy!

Saturday night we went out to Industry Kitchen & Bar in Sparta. Talk about hitting up all of my favorite places all weekend! We were going to do Surf like last time, the oysters and lobster roll were absolutely delicious. However, I saw on Industry's social media handles pictures of BBQ Brisket. Yes, as in actual Barbecue food! Not a cookout that's being wrongly called a Barbecue. WOW. I love going to Industry but have never seen a brisket option on their menu. I was very intrigued. I asked my manager friend Tommy about it. They tried it out the week before, people loved it, so they brought brisket back again. We had to do it at this point! The delicious BBQ brisket was fantastic, and the buttered biscuit was mouthwatering. I still have fantastic leftovers in my fridge that will be requiring my attention very soon.

Sunday was a nice, low key day. After breakfast, I saw my friends Kobi and Al playing a wonderful acoustic set at Minerals. My friend Ray does a great job coordinating music across the Crystal Springs properties, Kobi and Al were wonderful as always. I couldn't believe it was their first time playing. Everyone was having fun singing along. Not a bad Sunday afternoon at all while I was enjoying my Starbucks Treinta Shaken Iced Green Tea.

I then ventured over to see my buddies at The Irish Cottage Inn. It was my dear friend George's birthday weekend, and we all had fun with Music Bingo. They made me happy playing a few more popular songs than normal. It always makes me happy when everyone at the bar is nodding their heads and singing along with music, just like what people hopefully do when they listen to me on the radio.

Saturday night we loved watching Happy Gilmore 2 on Netflix. My bestie Artie didn't like it, and Sunday we were fighting over it. I thought it was hilarious, laughed my Caboose off and thought it did a great job doing a tribute to the first Happy Gilmore movie. This is probably the funniest movie to come out in the last 15 years. Seriously, I challenge you to find a funnier movie that has come out in the last 15 years. I stand by my two thumbs up rave reviews over Happy Gilmore 2!
