My Epic Weekend In Pictures: Down A Windshield Wiper But Okay

This was definitely a wild and Epic Weekend In Pictures I won't be forgetting anytime soon. The Weekend fun really started Wednesday night at Perona Farms, where we were enjoying the annual Newton Medical Center's Wine & Roses event. Delicious food and beverages as far as the eye can see. This was the second Wednesday in a row for me at Perona Farms, and I'm still so impressed with their recent renovations and transformations. I've been to Perona Farms for events so many times, and half of their venue even I don't recognize. I had a wonderful time with my friends from Crystal Springs, Visions Federal Credit Union, and more. It was great to be around all happy people who were in the mood to celebrate. I didn't even have a glass of wine until 8pm! I looked around and said to myself "how can I be at Wine & Roses, and not have a wine yet?" I enjoyed a yummy cabernet from Stag. I enjoyed that, and then work wife bestie Shawn led me to the next table over where they had a higher end version of the cabernet Stag. It was tremendous! I then ran into my friends from Chocolate Goat Gift Shop. Every single event I always bust on them for only bringing in their delicious chocolate options, and not including my favorite red licorice bites. It's to the point now when they see me, my friends at Chocolate Goat Gift Shop cringe because they know I'll be busting on them. Overall many had a wonderful time at Newton Medical Center's Wine & Roses. Our driver from State Shuttle was terrific. Turns out, we have mutual friends too. Talk about a small world!

Friday night I had a low key night running into friends at The Irish Cottage Inn. While pulling into their parking lot, I could see my favorite realtor friend Realty Executives Damian Ryan's car parked. I hadn't seen him in several months. He hadn't seen me since my sister Zannie passed away. Damian lost his sister a couple years ago. He was hoping to see me and give his condolences, especially because Friday is his late sister's birthday. Damian felt it was fitting as a tribute to both of our sisters.

Work has been pretty hectic lately, and after a long day at the office I didn't have much energy. It was great to see friends at The Cottage and just simply keep things low key. I knew work on Saturday was in my future anyway, so best to just keep things low key.

Note, after several attempts to wipe and clean my phone for better selfies that are less foggy / cloudy, my friends and I realized the problem. I need a new screen protector! The damage is right where the camera is when you're in selfie mode apparently. No wonder! I've been going insane trying to keep this phone clean and wiped down. At least now we know why!

Saturday morning I woke up to quite the surprise with the 4-6 inches of April snow we received. I was furious. Granted I was proven 100% wrong, some were predicting snow, and to me it seemed tough to believe with how much warmer the ground is than it was a couple of months ago. I definitely didn't expect that in mid April we would be getting half a foot of snow. I was too lazy to brush off my car, and tried turning my windshield wipers on. That ended up being a mistake, as my left windshield wiper snapped off like a twig. Great. Well, at least I'm going to a car dealership for a work event anyway. Two birds with one stone I guess we could say.

It wasn't the most fun drive, driving from Vernon to Newton with one working windshield wiper in the rain. At least it wasn't still snowing at that point. I marched into their service department at Nielsen Kia Of Newton on 206 and immediately announced my need for a new windshield wiper. I even parked front row right outside of their service department door. They were able to replace my windshield wiper within an hour. Fortunately I had plenty of fun all around me and wasn't bored waiting at all.

We had a fun Pet Adoption event with my friends at Father John's Animal House. Earlier in the week they told us the wonderful news that they just got several cute puppies. Wow were they ever right about that! Not a bad day at all. Going to work on your day off isn't usually fun, but with adorable puppies all over you it makes things much more enjoyable. These puppies were all rock stars! I had a great time seeing our WSUS team and Steve Andrews, all while playing with cute puppies. You can enjoy the adorable Facebook live video below our cute pictures.

Saturday after our work event, I was ready for a tasty Smoke & Embers drink at Industry Kitchen & Bar in Sparta. That was just what the doctor ordered. It was great to see so many of my friends working there smiling and happy to see me. Success.

Saturday night and Sunday I think my allergies crushed me. I went down for an afternoon nap, one of my friends called to check in on me. It was 7:30pm Sunday night! I watched Bar Rescue for like an hour, and then went back to bed. Today my allergies are crushing me everything is so scratchy, and I know I'm not alone. Everywhere you go you hear people coughing. I'm not coughing bad but definitely scratchy. Pollen is insane right now!

This weekend serves as a great reminder about how fun cute, adorable puppies are! Thank you so much for taking the time to read my Weekend In Pictures. Time to start planning next weekend. Easter!
