Seacrest Gives Bride Honest Advice on Changing Guest List Amid COVID-19

If you’re a bride or groom-to-be amid COVID-19, we feel you. Navigating and having to push or reschedule your big day and the events leading up to it is stressful, and what about that guest list? A caller named Emma asked Ryan Seacrest for advice on-air on Thursday, May 14, regarding changing her guest list.

Emma shared she already sent out invites but had to push her wedding to 2021 due to the global pandemic and now doesn’t want to invite some guests who were already on her B list, including a few former colleagues she’s just not as close with.

“If you are going to change your guest list, say you’re downsizing,” Seacrest recommended, adding Emma can blame the global pandemic and new social distancing restrictions as well as the economy. “And therefore, unfortunately you couldn’t invite every body.”

Sisanie also pointed out hey, they might also not want to feel obligated to come!
