Coca-Cola Is Bringing Back 'New Coke' For 'Stranger Things' Season 3

When season three of Stranger Things comes out on Netflix this summer, New Coke will also be making a comeback!

Coca-Cola's New Coke launched in 1985 but never quite caught on. However, it will make a cameo on the show's third season, which is set in 1985.

A limited number of fans can sip the nostalgic drink as they watch the new season of the show this summer.

For people who don't know what New Coke is, Coke created a sweeter version of their classic soda in the mid-80s. A few months later, after customers made their opinions of the new formula known with thousands of calls and letters, the classic recipe came back. But this summer, a limited number of "New Coke" will be back alongside Stranger Things-branded classic Coke and Coke Zero bottles and cans.

The 175,000 bottles will be sold starting Thursday, May 23 at 5 p.m. ET on Coca-Cola's 1985 website. New Coke cans also will be available on select days as a gift with purchase for visitors heading to the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta or the Coca-Cola Store Las Vegas during the week of June 3.

The third season of Stranger Things drops on Netflix July 4th.
