US Air Traffic On Thanksgiving Eve The Highest Since Beginning Of Pandemic

Did you take to the friendly skies this Thanksgiving? So did 6.8 million US passengers in the week leading up to the holiday.

According to the Transportation Security Administration, a surge of 1,070,967 people crossed through airport checkpoints on Wednesday alone.

Those figures represent a high point since the beginning of the pandemic, when 1.25 million passengers were screened on March 16th.

But that's still more than half the number of people who travelled the day before Thanksgiving in 2019.
