Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have reportedly finalized their divorce, ending a nearly 20-year marriage.
A judge finalized the divorce on Tuesday (January 6) in Nashville, Tennessee, TMZ and other entertainment news outlets reported after obtaining court documents. Urban, 58, and Kidman, 58, reportedly agreed to co-parenting classes, and agreed to make significant decisions for their children together. The couple’s teen daughters — Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban, 17, and Faith Margaret Kidman-Urban, 15 — will stay with Kidman for 306 days of the year, and with Urban for 59 days. Kidman and Urban reportedly both waived rights to child and spousal support, and divided property and assets.
Kidman filed to divorce Urban on September 30, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The award-winning actress filed for divorce shortly after news broke of the couple’s separation. They’d reportedly separated at the beginning of summer. Kidman made her first public appearance since the divorce filing at the amfAR (The Foundation for AIDS Research) Dallas Gala in Texas. She presented Yellowstone’s Taylor Sheridan with the Award of Inspiration at the nonprofit organization’s event on October 4. Urban continued his headlining tour, and told concertgoers during his show in Nashville, Tennessee, “stop reading sh*t into it,” when he changed the lyrics to “You’ll Think Of Me,” from his 2002 Golden Road album.
Urban and Kidman met in 2005, when they attended a gala in Los Angeles, California. They tied the knot in June 2006 in Sydney, Australia. Kidman reportedly returned to Australia with Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret to celebrate Christmas this year. An unnamed source told PEOPLE at the time: “Nicole and the girls are in Australia for Christmas. This is all she wanted after a tumultuous fall. She just wanted to celebrate Christmas at home. She's very excited.”
Kidman and Urban have not publicly addressed the divorce as of publication time.
