The landlord who owns the home that d4vd stayed at has hired a private investigator to find out what may have happened at his property while the singer lived there.

According to a report TMZ published on Tuesday, October 14, Mladen Trifunovic launched his own investigation into what transpired while d4vd rented his home in Hollywood Hills. He hired a private eye after the police searched his house to look for blood and other evidence that may help figure out how Celeste Rivas died. However, the Los Angeles Police Department hasn't provided any updates in a couple of weeks.

"Our private investigator’s work is still ongoing, and I don’t have any findings to share at this time," Trifunovic said. "It’s still early in the process, and I want to respect both the LAPD’s investigation and the memory of the victim."

The teen was discovered in the front trunk of a Tesla that's registered to d4vd, born David Anthony Burke. The car was abandoned on the same street as Trifunovic's home for several weeks before it was towed to an impound lot in Hollywood, which is where police first encountered the body. Rivas was reported missing over a year before she died. Police believe she had been dead for weeks before her body was discovered. Police conducted a search warrant at the home, but they've yet to reveal any updates about the search.

D4vd has been cooperating with the police ever since the investigation began last month. Several connections have been established between the 20-year-old singer and Rivas over the past few weeks. They appeared on livestreams together and have the same tattoos. However, d4vd has yet to be charged with any crimes, nor has he been named a suspect.
