Gwen Stefani's sons "look up" to her longtime boyfriend, Blake Shelton.

According to US Weekly, the pop singer's three sons, Kingston, 14, Zuma, 11, and Apollo, 6, have grown to "respect" Shelton as a fatherly figure. "Those boys look up to Blake in a big way," a source recently shared with the outlet. "He’s earned their respect as a father figure. He’s gone from being their friend to being a serious parental influence."

The news comes several months after Stefani called the country star a "good dad" during an interview on the Today show in September 2019. "He’s been helping me out a lot," Stefani shared at the time. "I literally get to the point where I’m like, ‘You’ve got to get home. Come help!’ It’s hard. I have three boys."

The "Hollaback Girl" hitmaker also recently thanked Shelton for helping raise her sons in a sweet Father's Day message. The Instagram post featured a series of photos of Shelton with her kids throughout the years. "Happy father’s day @blakeshelton," Stefani wrote in the caption. "Thank u for helping me raise these boys!! #weloveyou! G❤️K❤️Z❤️A gx."

Shelton, who's been dating Stefani for five years now, recently opened up about life as both a parent figure and friend to her kids.

"That's a scary moment for me," Shelton said referring to Stefani's Father's Day tribute. "It's one thing for me to be with the kids all the time and be their buddy, but you do have to consider after a while that they start to listen to things that you say. There's a lot of responsibility that comes with that."

Shelton continued on to share how he's especially enjoyed having Stefani and her sons at his ranch in Oklahoma throughout quarantine.

"We've been doing things that I wished I had time to do for the last 20 years, I guess," Shelton said. "That's literally stupid things like pick blackberries. We grew a garden... grew several acres of sweet corn."

Stefani and Shelton have also found some time to make new music together, releasing a new duet, "Happy Anywhere" in July. The new duet follows the couple's multi-week No. 1 hit, "Nobody But You" from Shelton's Fully Loaded: God's Country album.
