Chance the Rapper is coming back to Saturday Night Live!
The Chicago-born emcee will serve as the host and musical guest for the October 26 episode of NBCâs late-night sketch comedy series, as unveiled during this weekendâs show (October 12) hosted by Stranger Things actor David Harbour with musical guest Camila Cabello. Itâs been two years since the âHot Showerâ musician appeared on the laugh-out-loud series when he portrayed an insensible NHL reporter back in 2017.
This will also be Chanceâs first time pulling double duty as both performer and master of ceremonies for this monthâs upcoming program, joining the ranks of previous host-musical guests Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and others.

Chanceâs SNL gig is the latest in a line of exciting musical appearances heâs performed as of late. Earlier this week, the âNo Problemâ lyricist drove passenger-side during Late Late Show host James Cordenâs âCarpool Karaokeâ segment, where he performed a medley of tracks from his debut studio album, The Big Day. Prior to âCarpool Karaoke,â the 26-year-old hit the stage at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas last month.
As previously reported, Chance was expected to embark on âThe Big Day World Tourâ on September 14. However, the father of two opted to postpone the global trek to be present for his family after he and his wife welcomed their second daughter, Marli, earlier that month. According to his website, the artist has been billed to perform on November 10 at Miami Beach Pop Festival, followed by the Rolling Loud concert in LA on December 14.
