Nicole Hocking doesn't have time for body shamers.
Luke Combs' fiancée posted an adorable photo of herself and the country singer to Twitter earlier this week with the caption, “Hey, you're hot” that had many fans (including myself) gushing over their love.
Unfortunately, there were more than a few rude strangers who commented disgusting allegations insinuating that Hocking is only with him for his money as well as mocking Combs' weight and that she couldn't think he was hot because of his looks.
It didn't take long for Hocking to tweet a follow-up to what she was seeing in her replies about the “Beer Never Broke My Heart” singer. “To everyone currently being less than pleasant to me on Twitter for dating a bigger guy:” she wrote while sharing a screenshot of a comedic Facebook Marketplace ad for “these hands”: a pair of hands clenched into fists.
She added in a second tweet: “Also grow up. it’s 2019. the double standard for this is absolutely disgusting.”
Fans flocked to the future Mrs. Combs' tweets to support her as well as share their own photos with their significant other who would be classified as a “bigger guy.” “Why are people so judgemental[sic]??! Luke is a handsome wonderful big strong man. And the way he looks at you says it all. Most of us - women and men included - wish we had someone to look at us that way. I know I do. His bank account means nothing when you have love like that,” one fan wrote in her defense and I could not agree more!
Combs recently revealed his upcoming sophomore album, What You See Is What You Get, will be released on November 8. The couple is still in wedding planning mode and has not announced the date of their nuptials just yet.
