Cara Delevingne just claimed Ashley Benson as her girlfriend in the sweetest way.
The 26-year-old made an appearance with Benson by her side at the TrevorLIVE New York Gala at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on Monday (June 17), where the model spoke candidly to E! News about her decision to lock lips with the Pretty Little Liars alum in public at the event.
Delevingne revealed the smooch was meant to celebrate two special anniversaries in her life: the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and the one-year-anniversary of her relationship with the 29-year-old. Adding to the subject, the runway star said: "I don't know because it is Pride, it's been 50 years since Stonewall happened and I don't know. It's been just about our one year anniversary so, why not?"
But the pride moment didn't stop there. The Paper Towns star gave her bae — whom she's affectionally given the pet name "Sprinkles" — a special shout-out while accepting the Hero Award at the gala.
"I also have another very special woman in this room to thank and you know who you are," Delevingne told the audience. "She's one of the people who help me love myself when I needed it most and I really needed it. She showed me what real love is and how to accept it, which is a lot harder than I thought."
Whispers of the pair's alleged romance began as early as last summer after Benson shared a steamy picture of the couple on Instagram. The lovebirds have been spotted out and about together since then, but recently sealed their rumored romance with an intimate kiss to celebrate Pride over the weekend.
