“Violets for your Valentine!” African Violet Sale!

A special fundraiser for Locust Grove

Friday, January 6 – Friday, February 3

Did you know, the Hudson Valley was once known as the “Violet Belt,” exporting the delicate blooms worldwide? Ever wonder why Violet Ave in Rhinebeck is named so?  While today we think of roses on Valentine's Day, violets, grown here, were the traditional flower of the day in the 1890s to the 1920s.

Locust Grove is embracing this history by selling violets from our friends at Adams Fairacre Farms to raise funds to keep Locust Grove open for the community for years to come!

$20.00 + tax/per 4 inch pot of African Violets. Colors will vary. Sorry we cannot reserve colors in advance.
