Can you believe we grew up in a time when there were smoking sections in restaurants?!
Not only is that no longer allowed in New York City, but also, the sale of cigarettes. The Wall Street Journal reports, the cigarettes sales ban went into effect on January 1st.
Businesses with pharmacies, super markets and yes, even Wal-Mart "box stores", are all affected. The NYC health department says the ban will impact about 500 pharmacies that currently sell tobacco products.
