It's going to be a busy weekend for your ears.
November closes out strong if you're a fan of good music; as big name returns, highlight a busy Friday. This weekend, go ahead and #FirstListen the following:
Meek Mill's new album "Championships." The album features legendary sample's from Beyonce (Me, Myself and I) and Phil Collins (In The Air Tonight) as well as guest appearances by Fabolous, Cardi B, Rick Ross, Jay- Z, Future, Ella Mai and Drake.
Stand outs after my first listen include The Intro (which has become a Meek Mill staple on all releases), Uptown Vibes feat Fabolous and Anuel AA, On Me feat Cardi B, What's Free feat Rick Ross & Jay-Z , Championships, Going Bad feat Drake, 24/7 feat Ella Mai and Dangerous feat Jeremih and PnB Rock.
Chance The Rapper released two new songs on his website, Chanceraps.com. The Man Who Has Everything and My Own Thing is just enough to keep me happy until we get a new full length project.
Take a listen below.
Alessia Cara is also back with her second album, "The Pains of Growing." The 15-song album includes previously released singles Growing Pains and Trust My Lonely.
Cara recently performed for iHeartRadio fans in LA and discussed the albums name.
"The title of my new album comes from the idea that everything that we go through in life, and all kinds of pain, are things that we can grow out of and grow from. So I called it the 'Pains of Growing' because yes, things can be painful and growing up can be hard. But it just means you're growing, which I think is a positive thing, and there's the silver lining in that."
Don't miss our exclusive iHeartRadio Album Release Party interview and live performance with Alessia Cara this Sunday at 5 p.m. on 96.1 Kiss FM!
Happy listening this weekend. Lemme know what stands out to you @jwilljam !
