Miley Cyrus To Perform Super Bowl Pre-Show Event For Healthcare Workers

Miley Cyrus is headlining a Super Bowl LIV pre-show event for thousands of healthcare workers helping to combat the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The “Midnight Sky” singer will take center stage at the “TikTok Tailgate” event taking place at Tampa Bay’s Raymond James Stadium, just hours before the Big Game.

As previously announced by the NFL, the championship game will seat 22,000 people in the stadium, with free admission given to 7,500 already-vaccinated health care workers, who will also be invited to Cyrus’ pregame performance.

“SUPER BOWL LV!!! 💗🏈 I’ll be there for TIKTOK TAILGATE!!!” Cyrus announced on Instagram Sunday (January 24). “I can’t wait to put on a show for the NFL’s honored guests before the game…. Health care workers from Tampa and around the country!”

Also billed for the event is country star Eric Church and R&B songstress Jazmine Sullivan set to sing the national anthem together, with vocalist H.E.R. delivering “America the Beautiful.”

The Weeknd, who was announced as this year’s Super Bowl LV halftime show headliner, shared a statement expressing his gratitude for the gig. "We all grow up watching the world's biggest acts playing the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position," the crooner shared in November. "I'm humbled, honored and ecstatic to be the center of that infamous stage this year."

The "TikTok Tailgate" event, starting at 2:30 p.m. ET, will broadcast on CBS and TikTok before the game on Sunday (February 7).
