JoJo Siwa Reveals She Uses Tons of ‘Zip Ties’ to Keep 9 Pound Bow in Hair

Calling all Siwanatorz! JoJo Siwa stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Friday, February 28, amid the news of her ever-expanding D.R.E.A.M tour and shared advice with two lucky in-studio fans as well as how she keeps those massive bows in her hair while onstage.

The 16-year-old superstar, who boasts billions of views on YouTube and millions of subscribers across all social media platforms, is living out an actual dream. Aside from living inside a home in California which features a 7-Eleven and literal Willy Wonka Factory filled with 4,000 pounds of candy, the Dance Moms alum is unstoppable with a total of 149 shows now scheduled on her D.R.E.A.M tour.

Seacrest joked that by the end of the tour, JoJo will be celebrating her 21st birthday.

“We actually do have an ongoing joke because what happens in my show is we lose what we call the ‘dream bow’ and we have to go find the dream bow … and we have this joke like, ‘Oh, we lost the dream bow again!’ And now we’re all like, ‘Hmm, I think the dream bow is in the Bahamas. We’ve got to go look there,’” she teased. “So this summer we added 52 to more shows.”

The “Boomerang” singer continued that her shows are really for everybody — even the parents — which is why she also chooses to cover songs from the likes of Elton John and Queen.

During her visit to OAWRS, JoJo also answered fan questions, including what her favorite bow is, during which she revealed she has to seriously secure those ribbons while performing.

“My favorite of all my bows [is] the bow I wear on stage,” she shared. “Because it’s really big — it’s about double the size of a normal JoJo bow — it’s solid rhinestone. I’d say it weighs probably what, 7 or 9 pounds?”

!!!

So how does she keep it on her head?

“With zip ties. A lot of zip ties are in my head,” she revealed. “It’s very, very, very tight and I’ve actually cut my hair trying to get the bow out probably like 4 or 5 times so I have in the front of my head like two inch pieces of my hair.”
