Walt Disney World Just Raised Ticket Prices: Everything You Need To Know

Walt Disney World has raised the price of park passes once again. Things are a little different this time, though. Instead of increasing rates overall, the House of Mouse has switched to date-based ticket pricing. This means that some dates will be more expensive than others. Here's everything you need to know.

Should you be planning to visit Disney World in the summer months, tickets will be less expensive than in busier times of the year. May, August, and September will offer the lowest one-day ticket prices. This is great news for Star Wars fans, as well, because Star Wars: Galaxy Edge in Disney's Hollywood Studios is opening on August 29, 2019. Tickets for May, August, and September start at $109 per person, according to Disney World's ticket guide

If you're planning a trip to the most magical place on Earth during the winter holidays, though, you will see the highest increase in ticket prices at this time. During the Christmas season, tickets will be prices as high as $159 per day. Thanksgiving week tickets will be priced at $139. Park hopper passes, which allow you to visit multiple parks in one day, will increase, as well. In the cheaper months, one day park hopper tickets start at $169; during the holidays, they're will reach as high as $219.

While increased ticket prices are always a major bummer, the good news here is that Disney fans will be able to find more affordable tickets at certain times of the year. Ticket prices will also go down in relation to how many days you're at the park, so, the longer you're there, the bigger the discount becomes. Single park tickets can be as affordable as $47 per day if you're there for 10 days.
