Meghan Markle Blogged About Wanting To Be A Princess

Did Meghan Markle manifest her life as a princess? She just might have. In a post from her now shuttered lifestyle blog, The Tig, the Duchess of Sussex blogged about wanting be a princess. Little did she know that just four years later, she'd marry into the British Royal Family.

“Little girls dream of being princesses. I, for one, was all about She-Ra, Princess of Power,” Meghan revealed in the blog post. She was setting the stage for an interview she conducted with Princess Alia Al-Senussi, the exiled Libyan royal and humanitarian, back in 2014. Meghan's affinity for princesses carried into her adult life, writing that she “had a bit of a ‘pinch-myself-I’m-emailing-with-a-princess’ moment.”

As if that isn't crazy enough, Meghan even went on to reference her future sister-in-law Kate Middleton. “Grown women seem to retain this childhood fantasy," she wrote. "Just look at the pomp and circumstance surrounding the royal wedding and endless conversation about Princess Kate.”

Just four short years later, Meghan would be sitting court side at Wimbledon with "Princess Kate" as sisters-in-law. Kate and Meghan have reportedly grown quite close over the past few years, as well. There's talk that Kate even goes the extra mile to help Meghan with her current family drama, as well as making her feel welcome in her new home.

Meghan closed down the The Tig in April 2017 shortly before she became engaged to Prince Harry.  She no longer has to blog about being a princess, she just has to worry about being one. If She-Ra is her inspiration, she's sure to be an example of incredible strength and positivity for young girls across the world.
