Fast & Furious 7 production hired Paul Walker's brothers as stand-ins for the action flick.

Although Paul filmed all the dramatic scenes for the movie, he did not get to film some of the action sequences. The production team announced Cody and Caleb’s participation in the film in a note to their fans on their Facebook page.  F&F considers themselves as family, and in the note it says they are still in shock from the death of Paul. The presence of his brothers has “made us all feel that Paul is with us too.”

The post also comments that the scenes already filmed by the late actor are “among the strongest work of his career.”

Paul passed away last November in a fatal car crash during a charity event. The F&F family including Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, and Michelle Rodriguez have been very vocal about their grief over the franchise’s main character. The cast was in the middle of shooting the seventh installment when the incident occured, and afterwards took a much needed break.                   

This past weekend MTV honored Paul at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards. Jordana Brewster, who played his love interest in the franchise, presented the tribute to the actor:

Fast & Furious 7 is set for an April 10, 2015 release date.
